Brief Summary of your Start Up: Beyondmotherhood.com is a niche job board that connects employers with the “untapped” workforce, stay at home moms. There are thousands of educated and experienced moms nationwide looking for flexible opportunities, and Beyondmotherhood.com wants to connect them with employers.

What inspired you? Realizing that there were all these talented moms out there who wanted be home with their children…but still wanted a heel in the workforce.

How long have you been in business? Since 9/12/07

How did you fund it? Personal funding…trying to grow organically.

Do you have a Fairy Godmother (or Mentor)? I’m working on it…right now I’m talking with a lot of other female entrepreneurs.

Do you belong to any Business Organization or Networking Groups?

Current Business Challenge? Trying to wear multiple hats at once…and trying to market my business, and convince employers to post.

What are you doing about it? Talking to five employers every day and trying to spread the word on all the moms sites.

If so, how do you balance family and business?

Favorite book? Currently…The Success Principles by Jack Canfield

What do you do to relax? Aerobics, Pilates/Yoga, watch Seinfeld, have a glass of Cabernet with my husband.

What do you want to change most about your world?
Hmmmmmmmmmm  I’ll have to get back to you on that one.

What are you most proud of?
My children and my marriage/relationship with my husband….and some day of all the moms I’ve helped!

What advice would you like to offer other Start Up Princesses? Never, never, never give up! Believe in yourself and your dream. Just because somebody’s already doing what your want to do, doesn’t mean you should give up….there is plenty of room for everyone…just think of all the shoe stores in the world!

Favorite Magic Wand (tool/resource)? Success Principles audio cds and other motivational CDs…listen to them when I’m feeling down – they get me back on track and keep me inspired.

If you could design a tiara, what precious stones would you use?
Diamonds and Ruby’s because those are my children’s birth stones ☺

Would you be interested in being a Fairy Godmother to another woman entrepreneur? Yes…but I need to get my business rolling first.

What business subjects would you feel comfortable mentoring in? Balancing motherhood while following your own dreams.

Would you be interested in going to lunch with other women entrepreneurs for a “networking tea party”? DEFINETLY!
