Name: Fatma Zaidi

Hometown: I am a child of the world – have lived in several places – Switzerland is where I spent the majority of my life.

Current Residence (City, State): Toronto, ON

Education: High School Business Diploma, Switzerland, Shirley Price College of Aromatherapy, England, Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Canada, countless trainings in homeopathy, health and wellness, currently training to become a Law of Attraction Coach

Professional Background
(brief, please): Worked in a bank in Switzerland before the children. Then spent 5 ∏ years being a Mum. At that time trained as an Aromatherapist and worked in the Middle East and Switzerland, always around the children’s schedule. I started my Nutrition training as soon as I arrived in Canada 9 years ago and added that to my practice. Now I am going to my next level.

What you wanted to be when you grew up:
Air hostess, so I could get to see the world

What you are: Registered Nutritional Consultant, Aromatherapist

Brief Summary of your Start Up: I just told my friends that I was doing Aromatherapy and from there it was word of mouth. I never advertised. And it worked in each country where I practiced. I was invited to give workshops. Now that I have just established my website I am letting more people know as my goal is to help as many as I can.

Company Website?
www.loverawfood.com

What inspired you?
The book “Aromatherapy for Women” by Maggie Tisserand and my faith in the healing power of nature.

How long have you been in business?
14 years in Aromatherapy and 9 years in Nutrition. My website and blog are taking this to the next level now that my youngest one is in Grade 1.

How did you fund it? My own income.

Do you have a Fairy Godmother (or Mentor)? No, but I am inspired by many. And you are doing a wonderful job with your site.

Do you belong to any Business Organization or Networking Groups?
I am a member of the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants

Current Business Challenge? Learning all the technology.

What are you doing about it? I am a Prosper Learning student.

Favorite motivational quote: So many. Here are two: Your life is a journey, make it interesting. With every dawn a new road of wonder, with every day a new path of discovery.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Family? Husband, 3 children

If so, how do you balance family and business? I work my schedule around my children especially my youngest daughter who is 7. Sometimes one or the other will fall short but I am happy to be able to be there for the children as well as use my gifts to help others.

Favorite book?
So many. Recent ones were “Why we want you to be rich” by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki and “Raw Food Life Energy Force” by Natalia Rose.

What do you do to relax? Journaling, being with the children, spending time in nature, meditation, essential oils and living a conscious and meaningful life.

What do you want to change most about your world?
Helping others. I want to reach as many people as I can about healing through organic and raw foods, essential oils, eco friendly living, love, peace and faith. I write my blog with the intention of bringing that knowledge to people anywhere in our world. I would like to empower and inspire everybody that living a vibrant life is possible for everyone. We have the solutions. Later I plan to do teleconferences so people can get the knowledge without traveling or leaving their homes.

What are you most proud of? My children and seeing the difference my work makes in people’s lives and that I bloom wherever I am planted.

What advice would you like to offer other StartUp Princesses? Believe in yourself and listen to your heart. You can do it. Know what you desire and write it down. Then take action. Clear the clutter in your life and make space for what really matters.

Favorite Magic Wand (tool/resource)? Books and the internet are a powerful resource. Self care is so important.

If you could design a tiara, what precious stones would you use?
Turquoise. Love that color. The color of “Joie de vivre”.
