I work with Colin Turner the author of many business books. He is described by Time as a ′leading authority on business′ and referred to by Business Age as ′Europe’s foremost teacher for success′, Leaders unanimously endorse Turner′s dynamic, highly inspirational keynotes.

Author of 15 international bestselling books published in 45 countries and 39 languages, his thought-provoking work has inspired millions to make a difference – stimulating success in their personal and professional lives.

I think you would love his books – check out his page Kelly and let me know what you think.

Some books verify what was already suspected and solidified recognition and people skills: Tipping Point and Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. If fact The former was given to me with the comment, “You ARE a Tipping Point!’ With a marketing background, I’ve read scads of marketing books and appreciate all the Guerrilla books I’ve read and Made to Stick. We all attain higher successes with mentors to support and guide and I was inspired reading Who Mentored You? The Person Who Changed My Life by Matilda Raffa Cuomo and a book that came into my hands from my father’s passing this year, a great mentor! Also have made great use of Ladies Who Launch and the SLC organization by that name.

The other books that have impacted my business life are more esoteric, as maintaining a healthy balance of body, mind and spirit go a long way to true success. I recommend The Power of Nice, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, The Way of the Guerrilla, and The Art of Possibility. I could also mention a book recommended by serial entrepreneur, Alan Hall, Good to Great. He recommends business people read: scriptures, Wooden on Leadership and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, I’ll pass on for added bonus!

First on my list is Who’s Got Your Back by Keith Ferrazzi. Next is Reality Check from Guy Kawasaki.

Really enjoyed “Guerrilla Marketing” by Jay Conrad Levinson and “The Purple Cow” by Set Godin (as you said, I enjoy anything he writes).

Just finished The Go-Giver, which was amazing. Next up are How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie, How to Work a Room by Susan Roane, and Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell.

Love your recommendations, especially 4 Hour Workweek and Tipping Point. Thanks!

A great book to read for organizing your business (as well as life in general) is Eat That Frog from Brian Tracy. It helps you conquer that never ending To-Do list that can overwhelm most businesses!

I am a booklover as well! With hundreds of business boosk in my library, I don’t know where to start… Read books on marketing first and foremost. I’m a fan of Dan Kennedy, he has some very non-traditional methods of getting yourself noticed.

Blue Ocean Strategy, Tipping Point, Good to Great, Open Conversations, E-Myth Revisited, any of Seth Godin’s Books – for that matter I have enjoyed and learned things from every business book that I have read.

I really enjoyed Why We Buy, it gave me new perspective on sales, which I had no experience in at the time. I can’t wait to check out all the other suggestions!

I’d like to add the book that most inspired my business, “The 10 Natural Laws of Successful Time and Life Management” by Hyrum W. Smith. It just makes so much sense that productivity can bring us inner peace.

This summer I hope to finish “The Three Laws of Performance” by Zaffron and Logan and I also need to finish “Success Principles” by Jack Canfield. I started it a couple of years ago. it’s 512 pages long and each chapter is a gem with assignments. I’ve only read 13 of the chapters but they were phenomenal!

I am currently reading ‘The Answer, Grow Any Business, Achieve Financial Freedom, and Live an Extraordinary Life’ by John Assaraf & Murray Smith. This is an incredible book and I have found myself reading and then rereading chapters…….many will remember John Assaraf from ‘The Secret’. A very exciting and powerful read!!!!!!
