What News Can I Share with the Local Media on a Weekly Basis?

Fairy Godmother Ponn Sabra of Empower Women Now writes another press post for Start Up Princess. She has already given us tips on Free Press Distributions Sites, Building a Local Media Contact List, and now she asks…you to brasaturday papersinstorm for your next press release!

Ponn writes: You might ask, what do I have to share to the local media on a weekly basis? Plenty!

Here’s some quick ideas that I developed for Start Up Princess to use for press releases:

1. Local Mom Blogger Kelly Anderson Debuts International Women Entrepreneur’s Podcast

2. Local Mom Blogger Kelly Anderson Helps Women Entrepreneurs Make a Wish and Makes It Happen By Her Own Example

3. Local Mom Blogger Kelly Anderson Shares Her Secret to Her Business Success (Mentors) to the World.
In this article, Kelly would share examples how her personal mentors helped her business grow; and ‘sharing them to the World’ simply means introducing them to the World Wide Web. [Nice play on words, eh?]

4. Local Mom Blogger Kelly Anderson adds Best-Selling Author as her newest Fairy Godmother/Networking Mentor

5. Local Mom Blogger-Woman Entrepreneur writes suggestions for how to get more women involved in college business plan competitions
Do these headlines give you ideas? I just picked these topics from a week’s worth of Kelly’s blogposts and static pages.

In any case, after one-month of weekly headlines like these, the local media will at least recall “Local Mom Blogger Kelly Anderson”, right?

Sidenote: Kelly can easily edit a few words and distribute them to online. For example, Mompreneur or Woman Entrepreneur-Blogger Kelly Anderson…

Get the idea? Brainstorm and get to work writing some press releases!

[Thanks Ponn for all the awesome ideas, sounds like I have several press releases to write! :) ]

    Glad to help Kelly!

Another critical note to share, is that by sending weekly press releases to your local media list, you start building a relationship with local Editors and Publishers. Then, they start calling you for your “Expert Opinion”. Networking with the local media is a powerful tool–do not underestimate what they can do to help catapult your business :-)

Got something to say?
