My vision board this year includes optimal wellness in body, mind, and spirit. To work on this goal, I’m preparing for a sprint-triathlon in May to raise funds for One Heart Bulgaria and have a higher purpose for working out at the gym. Besides doing a 5k in 2007 and training for the Mrs. Utah pageant last year, I haven’t ever done anything remotely this athletic so I decided it would be wise to schedule an appointment with my dear friend and Holistic Health Coach, Natalie Goddard before I officially started my training schedule.
I have relied on natural health practices for the past 12 years (along with traditional medicine when necessary). I believe that the body and spirit knows what it needs to be in optimal condition spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically and feel at peace when I use natural options for wellness and have experienced excellent results. In order to “listen” to my body’s needs I often use applied kinesiology/muscle testing and work along with a coach who knows this method. If this idea is new to you, it is a common tool used by a range of chiropractors and natural health/alternative medicine practitioners world-wide.
My intention for this appointment was to “Purify” myself in all ways so I could get on track with the right supplements, nutrition, and other health aspects to become optimally balanced as I embark on this new goal. On Friday Feb 6th I had my appointment with Natalie and within 24 hours I’d already seen tremendous shifts in my life, so I wanted to share the immediate results with you…
Natalie is a very good intuitive Holistic Health Coach based in Pleasant Grove, Utah (she can do coaching over the phone if interested). When I arrived Natalie asked me my intention for the appointment and I told her “Purify” myself in all aspects with regards to the upcoming training and also other health goals that I shared with her. She immediately responded with “no wonder I felt drawn to diffuse the “purify” essential oil in my home today. I was instantly grateful for her ability to listen and follow her heart.
Throughout the hour together we used applied-kinesiology to ask what things I needed to achieve “purification” and a detailed action-item list came up–begin taking liquid chlorophyll to help increase my iron and a essential fatty acid supplement, avoid dairy, complete a 2-day Isagenix cleanse to help my lymph glands, increase my water intake to 80 oz a day, use grapefruit oil in my water for 3 weeks, accept and “own” my responsibilities more fully and create a shift in my environment with Startup Princess.
The suggestion to create a “shift in my environment” with Startup Princess left me puzzled. At first I thought, it must be my overuse of the internet–but I wasn’t sure what exactly, perhaps to Twitter less and spend more time on projects that need to be completed but that wasn’t necessarily the answer, so I just left it open in my head and thought it over for a while. Then on the way out Natalie mentioned that she has some help with her blog and I realized I wanted and needed help with StartupPrincess.com so I could focus more on growing the events and other programs we have in development but I didn’t know who could help with the blog so I just left it open again. Then on Saturday I was tweeting @Ghennipher who is a Startup Princess Fairy Godmother about how to build StartupPrincess.com’s traffic and she suggested I get an intern. BRILLIANT. I wondered if anyone would respond to a request for us to have an intern…so I tweeted that we were looking for one and within several minutes we had many women interested! That was exactly what I needed to create the shift here–already I feel a weight lifted from my shoulders that I know will help me run, swim, and bike easier!
I already completed the two-day cleanse and while it was hard to do on Saturday and Sunday, I am complete on that, I feel revived, purified, and I literally feel lighter because of the toxins that were flushed down the toilet.
I’m excited to see how things continue as I move ahead with my training and nutritional goals… I am grateful I took the time to work with a holistic health coach–it’s already been a huge gift.
Have you ever used a holistic health coach or practitioner? What was your experience?

Kelly,
Congratulations! You go girl! As you know, I’m also a Holistic Life Skills Coach (also most of my work is done over the phone) but I still love the vibrant energy of group work. I’ve been able to heal myself from major illness like breast cancer (a year after my sister died at 30 of breast cancer) as well as other major illnesses, plus generational issues. I became my own laboratory.
I volunteer teach Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) at a women’s 90 Day treatment center for alcohol and drug recovery and just love watching their lives change when they learn how to use their “original intelligence” (their blueprint of perfection) to get their power back.
I’m currently looking for about 10 women that would like to work with me in a group – probably in a teleclass and phone coaching once a week that have PTSD/Addiction issues. If you know of any, please send them my way.
I’m looking forward to more StatupPrincess affiliation.
Blessings,
Elaine Williams
