Our mission at in style moms is to bring moms stylish, affordable and easy-to-care for fashions for every stage of motherhood. We also bring you fabulous accessories and pampering products to look and feel your best! As a bonus, we also offer: Kids and baby fashions, fashion and gear for modern Dads, as well as elegant décor for the home.

What inspired you? My Husband. He is such a great father to our 2 children that I want him home more and working less. Our desire is to build in style moms so that it is capable of supporting our family.

How long have you been in business? About 18 months

How did you fund it? My husband’s job!

Do you have a Fairy Godmother (or Mentor)? I have a close friend who owns an online boutique. She has been a wealth of information!

Do you belong to any Business Organization or Networking Groups? No

Current Business Challenge? SEO!
What are you doing about it? Reading all I can about how to make my site Search Engine Friendly. I’m learning things I can do myself to make it more search engine friendly. It takes time but it beats paying the high prices for having someone else do it!

Favorite motivational quote: Aude Aliquid Dignum (Dare something worthy)!

Family? Husband, step-daughter, and 2 kids of our own. My step-daughter, Lesley, is 20. My son, Nicholas is 5. My daughter, Montana (named after football great, Joe Montana) is 2.

If so, how do you balance family and business? Staying up way after my kids have gone to bed! Catching up on emails while my oldest is in school and my youngest naps! I squeeze in what I can, when I can!

Favorite book? Right now? Search Engine Optimization for Dummies!

What do you do to relax? Go to coffee with girlfriends.
What do you want to change most about your world? I want my kids to believe in themselves. If I can raise 2 children to be God-loving, independent thinkers then I think I have changed the world!

What are you most proud of? My beautiful, brilliant, talented and funny children!

What advice would you like to offer other Start Up Princesses? Go for it! Don’t wait until you have ALL the facts because you never will. Being in business for yourself is very much a learn as you go process. Find something you are passionate about and run with it!

Favorite Magic Wand (tool/resource)? Microsoft Front Page, it magically transforms text into html! Fabulous!

If you could design a tiara, what precious stones would you use?
The best there is, Diamonds! In addition, I would add the family birthstones, Ruby, Emerald, Tourmaline, Peridot and I’d have to work in Pearl (for my husband’s birthstone!)

Would you be interested in being a Fairy Godmother to another woman entrepreneur? (I am working on a secure system to do this, any ideas?) I am always up for talking business. It is such mutual learning time when 2 Mompreneurs get together to share business ideas!

Would you be interested in going to lunch with other women entrepreneurs for a “networking tea party”? Yes

If you are out of Utah County, would you be willing to be a facilitator of such an event? Possibly, I’d have to hear more details. We are so spread out in Southern California that it is difficult to get together with other Mompreneurs as none of us like to fight the traffic ☺
