Friends, I’m excited to share that in less than 6 days I’ll be jumping into the pool to do my first triathlon “Women of Steel” in American Fork, Utah (a sprint): 300 meter swim, 12.4 mile bike and 3 mile run. I’m doing the triathlon to reach a big personal fitness goal, but more importantly to raise awareness and raise funds for one of my favorite charities, One Heart Bulgaria. I’ll be competing with Deborah Gardner, President of One Heart Bulgaria, plus my dear friend of 15 yrs! We’re excited for the event and to spread the word about the children.
You might remember that I am very connected to this organization as a Founding Trustee and recently went to Bulgaria in March with President Deborah Gardner and Musicians Mindy Gledhill and Sam Payne to bring joy and serve children. Since then they’ve been on my mind as I’ve trained and as I’ve considered what they need most…prayers, love, extra staff, medical supplies, extra curricular activities, and so much more. Check out more about the foundation and how you might be able to help or get involved.
Here’s how you can support the children-make a one time donation of $25 or more on One Heart Bulgaria THIS WEEK (deadline Saturday) and you’ll be entered to WIN a Free Ad 125×125 button ad on StartupPrincess.com ($100 value). We’ll also link to you and your company on our site as a thank you and announce it on Twitter.
Thank you for granting a wish for children in Bulgaria living under difficult circumstances.
Bulgaria Impressions: “Our Children Are The Most Beautiful and Good”

Hello Startup Princess friends, it’s great to be home. I’m still jetlagged, but I’m anxious to report to you about the trip. If you didn’t know, I had the privilege and honor of going on a 8-day service mission to Bulgaria with One Heart Bulgaria, a foundation that I’ve been involved with since it’s origin (2003) as a Trustee and served on the board for a few years. I want to thank my sponsor who generously “granted my wish” for a flight, his kindness was a pure miracle (decided to go a week ahead of the trip!) Read more
Dinner Solutions for Busy Mom Entrepreneurs

Fairy Godmother, Deborah Gardner writes: I know this may sound a little bizarre, but homemade freezer meals have changed my life, it’s the truth! The fact of the matter is that while I am spending so much time working to make sure Bulgarian orphans have food to fill their tummies, my own 5 children and husband are surviving off of pizza toast, quesadillas and take-out. There’s something wrong with that, so I searched for a solution. Read more
