I don’t know about you, but it’s time to recharge! It’s been a long, hot Summer and definitely time to revisit John Reese’s Reboot Your Brain to get back on track and prepare for the months ahead. John’s *FREE* powerful exercise has been a gift to me when I’m feeling completely overwhelmed with all that I want and need to accomplish…plus taking inventory on all that I dream about and addressin
g my fears and taking action so I’m in complete control of my life and future. John recommends you do the exercise once a month. Listen to John’s video for the full version, but those of you anxious to dive in, here’s a “cliff notes version” of the exercise.

The Quick and Easy Way to Reboot Your Brain
1. Get 3 Legal Pads and a Fabulous Pen
2. Go somewhere quiet and plan to “reboot” for 2 hours
3. First, title one Legal Pad “Master To Do List” and write until exhaustion
4. Take a walk, get a drink and see if there’s anything else that comes to mind that you “have to do”, write it down
5. Use the 2nd legal pad to write down all of your “Dreams” until exhaustion; take a break, get a drink
6. Use the 3rd legal pad to write down all of your “Fears” until exhaustion; take a break, get a drink
7. Read all of the lists outloud (this is a critical step and don’t skip it); as you read them write down anything else that comes to mind on any of the lists, get all of your thoughts down
8. Once you’re done writing, take note of how to convert each “dream” into a action item, so if you want to go to Paris, then on your To Do List write, “look on Orbitz airfare to Paris and purchase ticket” and cross off the “Dream List”; do this exercise for everything on your “Dream” List, so then you’ve added to the Master To Do and crossed off each “dream”
9. Now convert your “Fear” List into action items that will help you confront these fears and eliminate. If you are afraid of getting skin cancer, write “Get Better Sunblock recommended from a Dermatologist”. Cross off each fear and make an “To Do” on your Master List. Complete until done with each item. Take a break again, congratulate yourself!
10. Now circle the highest priorities on your Master To Do’s List for the upcoming month and then schedule them in your calendar. Check them off as you complete them and write the date you accomplished it. Repeat exercise at the beginning of each month.
Today’s Magic Wand: An added tip, I feel that the ideal exercise combines John’s exercise with also a look at the Wheel of Life beforehand to assess how balanced you are in each area and so you can consciously make goals and “to do’s” that represent your whole life. Ideally you should be balanced with a “10″ in each area. Here’s the Wheel of Life! What do you think of it? Have you tried this exercise before? What did you like or dislike about it? Tell us what YOU do to Reboot Your Brain!
