I love holiday cards! Sending and receiving cards is a highlight of the year for us but I don’t love the stress of addressing cards the week of Christmas. You probably don’t either so here’s a little reminder that you might want to get a jump start and do this task in November and have them all ready to go December 1. Or, you might like my family’s tradition: we send Thanksgiving cards instead of Christmas cards so we could give thanks to those who receive the card and emphasize blessings we’ve received from the previous year. It’s great because once ours are sent it’s one less thing I have on my December To Do List and it makes things more peaceful. The nice thing about sending holiday cards from your business is that it’s considered Marketing/PR so it’s also a tax-deduction.
It’s such a nice touch when small businesses/solo entrepreneurs add a photo of their families with the card because it gives a beautiful reminder that this company is supporting a family and it’s always fun to connect with clients in a more personal way that don’t usually get to see at other times of the year.
We just had our photos taken by the famous national family and wedding photographer Wendy Whitacre of Blue Lily Photography . It was a treat to have Wendy take our photos for the second year in a row while she was in town recently in SLC. Here’s a few that we love that we’re considering to send with our holiday card.
Thanks Wendy for the fabulous session, we love your work!

KELLY!!! Your pictures are GORGEOUS!!!! It helps that your family is so beautiful, tho.
Love your idea of sending Thanksgiving cards. I think I’ll make that my goal for next year. I totally agree about how nice it is to get a card from a business with a family photo – humanizes the business.
Love yer guts!! xoxo
