Plan an Informal Business Lunch at Home + Meet Allison Czarnecki, of Petit Elefant blog

Recently I met Allison Czarnecki of the very popular blog, Petit Elefant via email and we discovered that we’re neighbors. We decided it would be wonderful to get together for lunch and since we both have young children hosting a lunch at my home seemed like a much better alternative to petit elefant McDonald’s playland. This video shows of how we planned our simple meetup plus you can learn how Allison’s been so successful in working with sponsors to get giveaways for her blog (her big Christmas one was 2 microwaves from GE and generated over 1000 comments!) Note the middle segment and my bouncy camera work, sorry but it was too funny to delete, Enjoy!

My husband, Aaron, went to Ricks with Allison and Lynnley Jones. Just another bit that proves that this really is a small world after all!

Great idea! Such fun. I love that being a momprenuer is cool and accepted. More and more I take my son with me on business meet-ups. I let my co-meeter know that he’ll be joining us, and I bring things for him to do. This works when he’s tiny and cute. Now that he’s growing up and into things I imagine it will be harder to pull off – unless my co-meeter is doing the same!

Great post, Kelly. I’m in the business of business lunches and this is one of the best casual examples I’ve seen. I hate to say it’s “cute” that you’re meeting at home, because it’s more than cute. It totally makes sense for this kind of conversation.

Also, I’m now wondering what kind of giveaways I can plan for my blog now… :)
