I live in California and we have the ability to vote by absentee ballot.  This way, people who work,  that will be  out of town,  don&#039;t drive,  can&#039;t leave home, or  for what ever reason, can vote by mail.  However, one must mail in the ballot ahead of time to be received on election day.  So check and see if your state provides this for you, the voter.   In California, you can request the absentee ballot online as late as October 28 and mail the ballot in time to be received on election day or even drop off the sealed ballot at your polling place on Election Day as long as the polls are open.</description>
