Hi Kelly,
I found your sute based upon a google search I did of hair extensions. I had hair extensions from July 08 till Nov 08 and lost a tremendous amount of hair. I was wondering what your experience was with the extensions you got and if you know of any resources to help me grow my hair back faster. I know this isnt the purpose of your website but I am looking for advice wherever I can find it. Thanks so much.

I’ve been thinking about running in the Mrs. Utah pageant in 09′. I’ve never done anything like this before and I don’t know where to begin. The only person I’ve told this too is my sweet husband.( I’m secretly nervous of the reaction I will get). I want to hear some great advise from someone who knows! I would appreciate your advise on talent competition, whether or not there is an age requirement, hair extensions and anything else that would help me in this journey. Thank you and I love your hair it’s beautiful.

I want to run in the mrs. utah pageant as well, that’s how i stumbled onto your site, i was trying to research the process. Could you explain step by step how to get involved? Also if you have any tips and tricks for me that’d be great. I have a platform already and so that’s kinda why I want to compete, but also I want to experience being in a pageant. It sounds so FUN to me.
Thanks for your prompt response, and by the way, i’ve had hair extensions too, these totatlly look great on you, but i agree they are REALLY hard to get used to.

You were gorgeous at the pageant. I ac cidently found this sight just now. I was there last night, and you really nailed it girlfriend. The dress was absolutely amazing. Good for you for being MODEST!! I am planning to run sometime in the future. I need work on my body. Anyway, good for you girlie!! Oh, I never would have thought you had extensions!

Hi Adria, thanks for the comments today! Yes, I still love the extensions however I don’t really like the “styling” part, but fortunately I can usually go 5-6 days and they still look great/hold a curl even without washing my hair because even with all the exercise my scalp doesn’t get oily and gross, it gets itchy sometimes, but that’s just the braids, I think bugging me. I have 3 rows of hair and mine is from India. I have no problems with static but they do get tangled underneath a bit. My hair cost about $80 per row and then the fee to get it all braided in, cut, colored etc on top of that. I’ll be getting them retightened in May and hope that they will last 8 months to a year as promised.

I got extensions several years ago and really had mixed feelings about them. They got me through that awkward growing out stage and I always looked nice, but maintenance was a pain. I had to have 4 layers put in and basic things like conditioning and coming it out and keeping static at bay were a huge task. I also thought they smelled bad when they came out.

So I am finding it interesting to read about your experience. They look really nice! I chose European hair, which was more costly but supposed to be “better” than Asian hair. What do you think of yours, now that they’ve been in awhile longer?

Hello SUP Sonia and FG Heather, Great to see you both here..and thanks for the vote of confidence. Just got an email from Cherie Burton my pageant trainer too, she loves it and the color too, so I don’t think I’ll need to change it, which is good because I rather like it now.

And Sonia, I’d love to try the Sunday brunch sometime at Zermatt, what a lovely charming hotel it is, and their wellness/fitness center is AMAZING. Love it all. Next event is next week! March 12th, featuring Jeanette Bennett of Bennett COmmunications and Lindsay Robbins of Tapestry Productions it’s about what magazine editors and TV producers are looking for in interviews.
