What inspired you?
I loved blessing the lives of women through my expertise in image and outer beauty, and have personally struggled with loving myself on the inside. After years of self-sabotage, I finally learned how to free myself from the emotional chains that bound me and see the world in a positive, joyful life! I was torn between the two opportunities to help other women struggling like I had for so long, and decided to merge my passions into one program that changes the lives of women in deep personal ways.
How long have you been in business?
5 months

Through my makeup artist business profits
Do you have a Fairy Godmother (or Mentor)?
Yes! I love working with Angela Johnson, she helped me to realize the vision of merging my passions into one business, one focus!
Do you belong to any Business Organization or Networking Groups?
BNI & Biz Divas
Current Business Challenge?
Helping women who have a need I can fill, realize that need as well and stop self-sabotaging enough to take the steps to change their life by investing in themselves.
What are you doing about it?
Free 30 minute consultations where I identify specific negative beliefs and desires that will stop them from getting what they want. AND I am getting as many detailed testimonials as I can from each of my clients.
Favorite motivational quote:
“Ask and ye shall receive”
Yes, 3 children and a dog;-)
If so, how do you balance family and business? I don’t look for “balance” because it gives the illusion it is equal in all areas. Rather I look for “Harmony” in my life. I find the holes in my life where mom skipping out to a meeting or for a phone call is not a big deal and schedule my clients in those times. I am flexible in my business schedule and it works well for a lot of clients. I keep a weekly schedule of all of our family and my business activities, one copy stays with me, the other goes on my fridge. (It’s even color-coded) So when I am with my family, I am mentally with my family as well, when I am focused on my business, my family understands that is the scheduled time and can easily see when I will spend time with them once again. It’s all about QUALITY not QUANTITY. It’s also important that your family knows WHY you are working in your business. If they see that your time aligns with bettering the world or your family’s lives they will be more supportive of your business and see your hard work as a reflection of your love for them.
Favorite book?
“Scarlet Pimpernel” and “Saving CeeCee Honeycutt” (both ironically have to do with saving people…which probably says a lot about me
What do you do to relax?
Sit in a big comfy chair, sip my herbal tea and gaze out my bedroom window…just let my mind wander.
What do you want to change most about your world?
I would #1 Save more women from themselves – their self sabotage they tend to do unknowingly, #2 Build more crisis & free wellness centers for women in Utah, #3 Have more lush green plants where I live, old mature trees!!!
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that I overcame MANY obstacles that could have cost me my life and my sanity. That I learned how to move on after horrible life experiences and use it to help thousands of other women suffering needlessly through the same trauma.
What advice would you like to offer other Start Up Princesses?
Be brave! Take a chance! When you find you can’t sleep at night because you are so excited, (even shocked) that your new business is coming together, you are on the right track! Hold onto that feeling when you feel down or that things aren’t happening quick enough! Even write it down so you can remember when you need to!
Favorite Magic Wand (tool/resource)?
Positive, supportive people, who will give you encouragement when you are doubting yourself!!! It makes a world of difference.
If you could design a tiara, what precious stones would you use?
Diamonds and Rubies!
Did I leave something out you would like me to know about yourself or your business?
My dreams are to go to Greece with my hubby and to build my own privately funded women’s crisis shelter for women & children suffering from abuse. Many shelters turn women away because they are at capacity and others, (like the one I once stayed in) have limitations on how long a woman can stay, often times it’s not long enough for her to get her feet on the ground and she will go back to her abuser or live on the streets! I love that through my business I am closer to achieving my dreams & helping women achieve theirs in the process! Could I have a more perfect way to circulate funds and bless women!
