If you all knew the chaos at my “castle”, you’d know that my husband, Matthew is a dear soul to let me manage and grow Startup Princess. When I think about what has been sacrificed in my house and family to grow this company, really it’s Matthew who has suffered the most, yet he’s been so incredibly supportive and proud of how things have moved forward. I deeply appreciate his flexible attitude and willingness to help put together a last-minute dinner, clean or put kids to bed while I needed to make a call, finish an email, etc.,”invest” in a project, or pitch in at the last minute to help support a Startup Princess event with his awesome tech skills.
But the thing I love the very most is that he understands on a very deep level that Startup Princess isn’t about extra income for me, it’s about my mission to empower women to fulfill their dreams and because he understands and appreciates my dream, I can support all of yours. Much love to Matthew! xoxo Happy Birthday, Sweetie. Thank you for making my dreams come true. I am so very very blessed.
Love to all of your Prince Charmings for supporting your dreams too… !

Kelly,
Happy birthday to Matthew! Your husband sounds like a treasure…like mine is.
When I think of my husband, Scott, I often hear inside my head the statement they make on PBS, “This program made possible by…”.
Like Matthew, Scott makes The Mogul Mom possible–he takes care of the kids, bathes or feeds them, helps them with homework, does the grocery shopping and so much more.
And like Matthew, Scott understands that The Mogul Mom is my way of helping mom entrepreneurs achieve their goals, my way of paying it forward to the many fabulous mogul moms (like yourself!
).
So…happy birthday to Matthew and happy belated birthday to Scott (December 14), the men who make it possible.

Great post, and such a sweet letter to your husband. Where would we be without the support of our spouses? It never amazes me how many times my husband will just ask “What can I do to help?” when he has a zillion other things to do also. My husband just had his birthday and I am wishing I sent him such a nice birthday wish….I better get bloggin!
