A couple months ago I announced that I was embarking on a new project, a book about faith and entrepreneurship…wanted to update you on my progress. First of all, I asked my dear friend and mentor, Heather Madder (2008 Touchpoint Keynote Speaker) to co-author the book and she accepted. We’re both excited to work together on this project. She’ll offer a great deal of depth with the spiritual-aspects as she speaks and writes regularly about the subject and helps individuals connect to their divine purpose. We anticipate that the book will take at least a year to be completed as we intend to find a publisher and seek distribution.
With Heather’s advice, I’m doing a lot of free-writing, I started this journey on my recent cruise to Mexico when I had a lot of quiet time, free from stress and enjoying the warmth of the sun…however, at the rate I’m going, I’ll need to go on about 10 more cruises to finish it. Writing is going well, but I’m remembering the painful aspects of writing for print verses a blog audience takes much more effort.
We decided the book’s title would be “Spirituality and Entrepreneurship”, rather than “Faith and Entrepreneurship” because of the topics we will be exploring. It will be general spirituality, so that all denominations, all people who believe in a Supreme being and higher power will connect. If you’re familiar with Heather’s style, it’s really beautiful, so I’m grateful she can help set the tone in that area.
