A few months ago Carrie & Danielle were featured on the Ladies Who Launch site and I was so impressed I contacted them and invited them to be Fairy Godmothers of Style, Business, Wisdom…for us at Start Up Princesss. They’ve been submitting awesome posts since October.

I can’t wait until their book is published next year, this dynamic duo are making waves internationally and are sure to have quite the press tour. I would call them Style Shrinks…but they are so much more than that because they have such inspiration behind everything they do. They have a beautiful new line of style statement jewelry too.

It works for your haircut, you business card, the home you create…the way you celebrate, stay healthy, and manage your time. It’s a tool for designing your life.”

INSPIRATION/MOTIVATION FOR STARTING OUR BUSINESS:
We knew we were onto something. Discovering our own Style Statements was really adding to our lives, and we saw it taking off for our friends and family. We took the leap and committed all of our energy to this and it’s been amazing.

HOW MUCH MONEY DID IT TAKE TO START?
As much as our credit cards could hold.

OUR ROLE MODELS/MENTORS:
We find good wisdom is all kinds of places – because we’re always looking for it, from friends, books, movies, spiritual teachings. We take it all in, add it up with our own experience and then we let our intuition be our guide.

ADVICE WE WOULD GIVE TO WOMEN STARTING OUR OWN BUSINESS:
You know when you know, intuition is a muscle – the more you use it the stronger it becomes. Surround yourself with people who share your life perspective, but who compliment your strengths and weaknesses. Hire experts. Don’t push time. Do what brings you joy – sounds lite, but it is a profoundly way to build a life and business.

MISTAKE THAT WE HOPE NOT TO REPEAT:
Not following our intuition about partnerships. You can’t force chemistry.

WHAT WE LIKE MOST ABOUT OWNING A BUSINESS:
Freedom on all levels.

WHAT WE LIKE LEAST ABOUT OWNING A BUSINESS:
Nothing that freedom on all levels doesn’t make up for. Okay – we hate doing our own dishes, fixing lose wiring, taking out the garbage.
