One of the highlights of Touchpoint was seeing the 5 Finalists (Zoom Concierge, Heroes in Training, Baby Bam, and Captrappers) pitch at the end. Each of the businesses presented were impressive and ought to be congratulated for their courage and excellent preparation. The scoring was 70% by a team of judges-Gary Rhoads, The Director for the Center of Entrepreneurship at BYU, Brock Blake, The CEO of Funding Universe and sponsor of the competition and Fraser Nelson of VAST a private investment fund created by women for women owned businesses with over $5M in revenues, the attendees also voted, 30% of the total score. We used Pulse Interactive Media to do the touchpad scoring.
Sarah Jane of Sarah Jane Studios was “crowned” winner! We’re excited for her. Sarah will receive $1000 in mentoring and services from Funding Universe, a new Epson Artisan 800 All-in-One Printer and $100 in ink, a ticket to our Retreat in November, a feature in Launch Magazine, and a sweet tiny glass tiara from Drooz Studio
All finalists received a gift from Tara Starling of Anastasia’s Attic at Gardner Village, 1 hour of mentoring from Startup Princess, and an ebook of How to Make Money in your Pajamas by Sarah Lewis.

Congratulations, Sarah Jane!
