Building a Talent Bank

“T” is for “Talent Bank” in Deepak Chopra’s Creating Affluence: A-Z Guide for a Richer Life. A Talent Bank is basically a network of people with a variety of talents and resources that are different from your own whom you can rely on when you need it.

We’re creating a very powerful Talent Bank here at Start Up Princess. Take a look at the many, many profile pages of Start Up Princesses and you’ll find designers (Melissa DeMourdaunt) , online boutique owners (Tammie Gibson), chefs (Raw Melissa), podcasters (Betsey Flanagan), and more. You might ask yourself how all of these people came to Start Up Princess and I could tell you, but that would take a very long time!

Here’s how we build the Start Up Princess Kingdom:

#1 Invites to personal friend-entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs that I know and admire, plus those I meet online/read their blogs, or read about; always on the search for amazing women entrepreneurs! Adding more daily!!

#2 Referrals from other Start Up Princesses/Fairy Godmothers

#3 Press (Daily Herald, Costco Connection, Entrepreneur)

#4 Blogrolls (our top referring blogs: Kristy Glass, Santa Cruz Moms, U Handbag, thanks so much!!!)

#5 Search Engines, (then people comment or send an email and we invite them to join)

#6 Guest Blogging/Features at other sites such as essential keystrokes and eMomsAtHome

#7 Blog Carnivals at Startup Spark

#8 Social Bookmarking such as Stumble Upon
