I just added a pink ribbon to my blog in support of breast cancer awareness and I am going in for a mammogram next month - when was your last one ladies?? Be sure and have a baseline if you aren't 40 yet! Taking care of ourselves and getting regular mammograms is one of the best things we can do to help prevent breast cancer. I have a neighbor who went through breast cancer last year and radiation treatments. A friendly smile and a warm meal are always appreciated!

My grandmother died of breast cancer, and my aunt had it when she was my age. In September I found a lump and went and had it checked out. Luckily the tumor is benign, but one of the best ways we can support the cause is to get checked regularly and support others in doing the same.

While owner and editor of Wasatch Woman Magazine, I wrote (or included) several articles about local women who have overcome breast cancer and ran a free ad - multiple times - for the Susan G. Komen organization.
