Ever think about how brands make you feel? Seriously. I just treated myself to a pair of Lucky brand jeans …I only paid $35 fo
r them luckily (I have a husband with wholesale connections, you know!) but ever since I’ve been wearing them I’ve been feeling “lucky” and it’s making me laugh…the power of thought, affirmations, the law of attraction…call it what you want, but I love these jeans and even if it’s just a mental mind game, it’s working (particularly since I had a bad day last week, I “need” these jeans!) I think I will write on all of my clothes, “happy”, “joyful”, “successful”, etc.! The power of the word is REAL. When you see something often enough and wear it as a badge, logo, brand…it literally rubs off on you.
That’s why I especially dislike brands that have negative icons or logos, no doubt if you wear something long enough with a swear word on it you will feel dirty and bad. There’s a lot of skulls on clothing these days…how is that really going to make you feel? Dead? I don’t get it. I’d rather feel “lucky” any day. How about you? (not that everyone should wear Lucky’s).
Today’s Magic Wand: Think about the brands you surround yourself with… how do they make you feel? How will your brand make others feel? If you’re still thinking of a name for your company…consider the power of the word and how strong, uplifting names will be like a magnet to strong, uplifting clients! For example, Fairy Godmother Laura Howard West’s Center of Joyful Business attracts joyful people or Start Up Princess Heather Ledoboer’s site, Mom4Life, she’s attracting other moms who are committed to parenting, the perfect clients!
