3 Things You Can Do Right Now to Make Your World the Best it Can Be!

Each Wednesday, I host a radio show entitled It’s About You: Your World, Your Life and How to Have the Best of Both (www.grapevineradio.com, 11:00 am mountain time). The show is all about how to have the very best life has to offer. Too often we get caught up in busyness, caring for your families, working, trying to keep up with all of the commitments we make and then when we finally crawl into bed, we ask ourselves, “Where has today gone? Why am I so tired? Why isn’t there ever any time for me? Why don’t I get more done in a day?” Over the years, I’ve found that keeping things simple is the best way to live life so I’ve devised three things we can all do right now to create the world you want!

1. Decide right now to have a positive attitude, to notice and acknowledge all the positive things in your life. Spend just 60 seconds, right now, listing as many of the positive things you can in one minute and then post it somewhere you will see it every day. Repeat this exercise every Sunday night before going to bed.

2. Start today to have a set bed time for your children – and for you. Put the children to bed at least 30 minutes before your bedtime to ensure that you have some quiet time EVERY NIGHT before going to bed. Besides, kids like routines.

3. Spend that 30 minutes doing something for you: read, meditate, take a bubble bath, a longer-than-usual shower, paint your nails, something girly or enjoy.

By following these three simple steps, you will be creating a world, your world, a life that is not just dedicated to fulfilling responsibilities, but also to being fulfilling for you personally.
